1. Pray More Tahajjud 🤲

One of the greatest perks of winter is the longer nights, making it easier to wake up for Tahajjud. Tahajjud is a voluntary night prayer, highly encouraged in Islam, and it holds immense rewards. In the winter, the nights are long, and the time between Isha and Fajr is ample, giving us the perfect opportunity to incorporate this powerful prayer into our lives without losing much sleep.

Waking up for Tahajjud is not only an act of devotion but also a time of deep spiritual connection. The quiet hours of the night, when everyone else is asleep, are ideal for seeking forgiveness, making dua, and building that one-on-one time with Allah. So, set that alarm a little earlier, grab your warmest prayer mat, and make Tahajjud a regular part of your winter routine!

2. Voluntary Fasts in the Lead-up to Ramadan 🌙

Winter also makes fasting a bit easier—shorter days mean less time between Suhoor and Iftar! With Ramadan just a few months away, winter is a great time to prepare yourself physically and spiritually by engaging in voluntary fasts.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged voluntary fasting, and you can do this on Mondays and Thursdays, or on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each Islamic month (known as the Ayyam al-Beedh).
